Imposing French Louis XV mantel carved in grey limestone. The mantel was originally installed in a small Chateau, built circa 1732 in the Vosgues department, East of France. The entablature presents curves that are reminiscent of the shape of a crossbow and is decorated with a central shell carving. The top of the powerful jambs also bear shell carvings.
